Maria Angelides is a banking lawyer with many years of experience in the legal profession. She obtained her Law degree from Leicester University in 1996, followed by an LLM in Corporate and Commercial Law from Southampton University in 1997. In 1998, she was admitted to the Cyprus Bar Association, ranking first in position.

Maria began her career at Chryssafinis and Polyviou Law Firm, where she completed her pupillage and worked until 2002. She then joined Emporiki Bank Cyprus Ltd to establish the Legal Department and served as Head of the Legal Department until 2013. In 2013, she joined LLPO Law Firm as Head of the Banking Department.

Maria is a fluent speaker of Greek and English and possesses a proficient understanding of the French language.
