Marieta, born in Nicosia in 1995, holds an LLB Law degree from the European University of Cyprus. Her dynamic career in law is marked by a blend of litigation expertise and a sharp focus on corporate and financial services. She works effectively, becoming a true partner with her clients to achieve their goals.
Marieta began her legal journey in 2018 at LLPO Law Firm, completing her pupilage with hands-on experience in litigation across Criminal Law and Corporate Litigation.
In 2019, she became a member of the Cyprus Bar Association and transitioned into corporate law. She excelled in drafting and reviewing corporate agreements while offering legal assistance on complex corporate matters. Her portfolio expanded to include the registration and authorisation of Alternative Investment Funds (AIFs) and advising Alternative Investment Fund Managers (AIFMs) and investors.
Currently, Marieta specialises in Financial Services, focusing on regulatory licensing and compliance. She collaborates with the Central Bank of Cyprus, Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC), and the Cyprus Stock Exchange (CSE). Her work involves licensing entities such as Electronic Money Institutions (EMIs), Crypto Asset Service Providers (CASPs), Payment Institutions (PIs), Credit Intermediaries, and Cyprus Investment Firms (CIFs).
Marieta is an active member of the Environment and Energy Committee within the Cyprus Bar Association, showcasing her commitment to sustainability and energy law.
Marieta is fluent in Greek and English and has a good command of French.
